Marx Disney Dollhouse, 1949-51
Three things make this dollhouse unique.
- It has a Disney nursery
- It was the first to have a garage
- It has D-cell battery powered lights
This house needs a lot of work, which the pictures will show!
The first thing that caught my eye was this odd contraption in the garage. At first I thought it was supposed to be something that opened the garage, but the garage wasn't made to open.
The second unusual factor of this house was the Disney nursery.
Bathroom complete with fuzzy rug under the tub.
The living room has a special painting over the fireplace that went unnoticed until a member of a FB group pointed it out!
The painting is The Boyhood of Raleigh by Sir John Eveett Millais, 1870.
